2014 Parade Theme
“From Wagon Wheels to Smart Automobiles, Paving the Way to a Sustainable Future”
More information is coming soon!
The 2013 Big Bear Heritage Parade will begin at the intersection of Big Bear and Summit boulevards at 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon of Saturday, June 15.
The parade route will take participants down a .07 mile stretch of Big Bear Boulevard to just past the Big Bear Middle School to the de-staging area at Jefferies Road.
Those wishing to view the parade are invited to line up on either side of Big Bear Boulevard between those two addresses.
Please bring a chair or something else to sit on, water, a soda, or something to stay hydrated with, or visit one of your local businesses for something to drink.
Remember, the afternoon sun in Big Bear feels warm and refreshing, but it will burn unprotected skin faster than being at beach. So please apply sunscreen if needed.
The boulevard will close approximately 30 minutes before parade time, so please plan to come early so you have plenty of time to park, walk to where you want to watch the parade and then make yourself comfortable.
We invite everyone, resident and visitor alike to come join in the fun and support this piece of Americana.
Old Miners would love to see thousands throng the boulevard, so come on down and have a great time!
